Social insecurity is a lack of confidence in one’s own ability to do well and succeed in social settings. Negative experiences in childhood like teasing, bullying, rejection, ridicule or humiliation may be more prone to this issue. With very limited people relating to this problem, expressing my emotions through forms and colours gives me a feeling of validation. Cotton gives me nostalgic feeling of childhood. The idea of cotton blooming with help of proper atmosphere, representing myself as cotton bud which needs sunlight to bloom. Yellow colour in the painting represents sunlight in form of positive things in life. And dark clouds are like negative things which are temporary. If the cotton bud gets enough sunlight the cotton will bloom and keep growing.
