Amit Kumar Ojha
I am Amit Kumar Ojha, an art practitioner from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. I completed my MFA and BFA in Painting from Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh. My journey into fine art began as a way to express emotions that words couldn’t fully capture. Over time, it grew into something deeper, a way to explore the social and ethical issues that weigh on my mind.
What has always moved me is the silent suffering of animals-creatures that feel pain but cannot speak for themselves. This realization became the heart of my work,
focusing on the complex and often harsh relationship between humans and animals.
Through my mixed-media paintings, I blend human and animal forms, using textures, organic materials, and muted tones with subtle touches of red to convey pain, loss, and
resilience.
For me, art is more than just something to look at; it’s a conversation. With my painting series, “Speaking Silence”. I hope to invite viewers to reflect on how human actions impact animals and to see beyond the surface, into a world that is often overlooked but deeply connected to our own.
